About Us

Enrol Now for our new Tip-Top HIP HOP class, designed for ages 3 to 5.
Starting in TERM 3!
Welcome to Tiptoe Classical Dance.
Tiptoe Classical Dance is a classically based dance school for children aged 3 to 5. We offer young children the teaching, the space and the opportunity to learn sound dance fundamentals in a happy, inspired, fun environment.
The fundamental foundations of classical dance are simple and appropriate for young children to learn, explore and play with. It’s these foundations that Tiptoe is built on. Everything from the way our teachers are trained, to our uniforms, to the way our programs are designed is fresh, real and a little bit different.
At a glance
- We are based in Coorparoo and Mt Gravatt, Brisbane.
- Tiptoe teachers are patient and kind. There are always two per class. This is one of the key reasons students respond so well to our classes.
- All our teachers are classically trained, have been/are professional dancers themselves, have Bluecards and experience in teaching this age group.
- We encourage boys our school colours, uniforms and programs have been designed with this in mind.
- We offer 4 types of classes each week:
- Tiptoe Tulips (3 to 4 yrs)
- Tiptoe Teddies (4 to 5 yrs)
- Tiptoe Ducklings (2.5 to 3 yrs)
- Tip-Top Hip-Hop (3 to 5 yrs)
- Most classes are 45 minutes long, except for Ducklings, which is 30 minutes.
- Children are required to wear the school uniform to all classes.
- We ask you to trust us. To enable your child to focus and participate fully in the class without distractions, parents are asked to trust us with their child and enjoy a coffee from across the road while you wait. You will be proudly invited by your child to watch the last lesson of each term and be amazed at what they have achieved.
- Your child is welcome to do a free trial lesson before committing to a place.
- Classes are paid in term blocks and are refundable for medical reasons only.
- We are currently unable to offer makeup lessons.
- We do not do end of year concerts.
- We love what we do!
Joseph loves Tiptoe. Our quiet and placid boy now bursts into song, hops, jumps and dances. We are thrilled with tiptoes professional and obviously effective approach. Highly recommend it!

Anastacia McCallum (Miss Stacey)
The driving force behind the creation of Tiptoe Classical Dance is Anastacia McCallum (Miss Stacey).

Now having two young children herself, Miss Stacey finds herself acutely aware of the needs of young children in a learning environment and this – combined with her passion for dance and teaching – has culminated in the development of Tiptoe and the creation of classes that are designed to speak to, inspire and develop our future league of extraordinary movers.
